Who I see from Larkfield and Aylesford
This corridor — Larkfield, Ditton, Aylesford, New Hythe — is densely populated and thinly served for private therapy. Most people default to Maidstone, which is closer, but Maidstone's specialist addiction provision is not obviously better than the drive the other way, and parking is easier here.
The work from this direction covers the full range, with a noticeable weight of alcohol and cocaine work in people in their thirties and forties who are functioning, employed, and have told nobody.
The functioning-and-hiding pattern
This is the most common profile I work with, from everywhere, and it is worth naming because people in it often assume they do not qualify for help.
You hold down a job. The mortgage is paid. Nobody at work suspects. From the outside nothing is wrong — and that is precisely what has allowed it to run for five or eight years, because there has never been a crisis obvious enough to force the issue.
You do not need to have lost something before you are allowed to get help. Waiting for a crisis is a very expensive way of deciding.

Common questions
How long from Aylesford?
Around fifteen minutes along the A20 or via the M20.
Why not Maidstone?
Maidstone is closer and has more general counselling. Specialist ACT and addiction work is thinner, and parking here is free and easy.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can contact me directly. If you are claiming on private health insurance, your insurer may want one — check with them.
